Progress and Attendance

Alabama law does not require progress reports. However, Magnolia Academy leaves the choice optional for the parent to send. If the parent is experiencing any custody/legal problems then the parent providing the educational environment may wish to have this information on file with Magnolia Academy. Sometimes the progress reports may be needed if the parent is putting their child back into public school. Sometimes a mid-year enrollment/transfer will result in an incomplete transcript - a transcript reflects a full year of a finished subject.

Attendance reports are required by law; Magnolia Academy has set 140 days per year as the required number of days. (Please only report unexcused absences.) If you have no unexcused absences, send nothing and perfect attendance will be reported. Your school year can run all year, or you can follow a more traditional school year. This is your choice.

                                               Transcript Information

Magnolia Academy will provide an official high school transcript for a graduating senior. The student will need this for college.  The student/family will provide the classes/credits and all other information needed for the transcript.

Magnolia Academy will provide any student that will be either transferring back into a public school or another church/private school . This transcript will include the student's subjects, grades and attendance. This information will be provided to Magnolia Academy by the parent. To transfer to another school at the end of a full year is $25.00. This fee is charged because we like all students that are transferring out of Magnolia Academy to have all forms completed by August 1st.
